Junior Java Developer

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Junior Java Developer to join Fujigo’s software development team. You will work in a professional environment and gain exposure to advanced Big Data and AI projects.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and build software systems and tools within our Big Data platform to accelerate development lifecycles, ensuring robustness, stability, availability, and scalability.
• Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code following best software development practices.
• Design system architecture based on diverse requirements from internal teams and clients.
• Provide technical leadership to ensure smooth project execution by offering guidance, feedback, risk prevention, and resolving technical issues.

Mandatory Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience working with Java.
• Solid knowledge of relational/NoSQL database systems, object-oriented programming (OOP), and web application development.
• Familiarity with development tools such as Git/SVN, Redmine, Eclipse, IntelliJ, Maven, Gradle, etc.
• Experience building, maintaining, and debugging software in production environments.
• Ability to work with at least one popular MVC framework.
• Willingness to work on client sites when required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to work with one or more additional programming languages: Java, PHP, JavaScript, .NET, Python, Golang, etc.
• Experience with shell scripting in a Linux environment.
• Adaptable, flexible, and up-to-date with the latest trends and changes in software and technology.
• Knowledge of database programming with PL/SQL is an advantage.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, quickly learn and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
• Ability to estimate project scope based on user requirement documentation.
• Team management skills.
• Proficiency in English; Japanese language skills are a plus.
