Job Description

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and build software systems and tools within our Big Data platform to accelerate lifecycle processes, ensuring strong, stable, available, and scalable operations.
• Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code using best software development practices.
• Design system architecture involving various requirements from internal teams as well as clients.
• Perform technical leadership to ensure smooth project execution by providing guidance, feedback, technical risk prevention, and resolving technical issues.

Required Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience working with Java.
• Strong understanding of web application functionality including security, session management, and best development practices.
• Good knowledge of relational/NoSQL database systems, object-oriented programming (OOP), and web application development.
• Familiarity with development tools: Git/SVN, Redmine, Eclipse, IntelliJ, Maven, Gradle, etc.
• Self-organized with the ability to deliver quality documentation and perform code reviews.
• Experience building, maintaining, and debugging software in production environments.
• Ability to work with at least one popular MVC framework.
• Experience in architecture skills: strong knowledge of design patterns and software architecture.
• Strong architectural design knowledge and ability to create technical proposals.
• Proficient in English.
• Willingness to work at client sites when required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving skills.
• More than 3 years of technical experience, especially in managing open-source technology deployment projects.
• Experience designing and building distributed systems.
• Ability to work with one or more languages: Java, PHP, JavaScript, .NET, Python, Golang…
• Deep understanding of Apache-related technologies (Kafka, Flink, Tomcat).
• Strong knowledge of distributed computing (AWS, Kubernetes, load balancing, serverless).
• Knowledge of HERE Maps and Autonomic Transportation Mobility Cloud is a significant advantage.
• Experience working with shell scripts in Linux environments.
• Adaptable, flexible, and knowledgeable about the latest software and technology trends.
• Knowledge of database programming with PL/SQL is a plus.
• Ability to work and grow in a fast-paced environment, quickly learning and mastering diverse web technologies and techniques.
• Ability to estimate projects based on user requirement documents.
• Team management skills.
• Strong English skills; Japanese proficiency is a plus.
